Review paper entitled "Dimension Control of Platinum Nanostructures by Atomic Layer Deposition: From Surface Chemical Reactions to Applications" has been published in Chemistry of Materials (IF: 10.508)

The paper reviews the advances in Pt ALD since its inauguration with the focus on the key factors including the precursor chemistry, the surface reaction, nucleation, and growth mechanisms, as well as the influence of deposition conditions and surface engineering. The potential applications of Pt ALD were also discussed. We expect that this article can provide the fundamentals of Pt ALD, which may serve as a guide to achieve a desired Pt nanostructure for a targeted application

Review paper entitled "Advances in Flexible Metallic Transparent Electrodes" has been accepted for publication in Small. (IF: 13.281)

The paper reviews and discusses recent progress and remaining challenges on metallic nanostructure-based transparent electrodes (TEs), including oxide/metal/oxide multilayers, metal grids, metal nanowire, nanofiber, nanotrough percolating networks, metal meshes based on cracked templated, dealloyed ultrathin metallic films and some important nanocomposites. The various fields in which metal-based TEs have been successfully applied as well as emerging and potential applications are summarized.

Welcome to the ALD Research Group at Phenikaa University

The ALD Research Group at Phenikaa University was officially established on the 19th November 2019 and belongs to the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering. Our main goal is to develop Atomic Layer Deposition processes with the focus on atmospheric pressure ALD techniques, which include Spatial Atomic Layer Deposition - SALD and Fluidized Bed Atomic Layer Deposition - FBALD, for the synthesis, surface engineering and processing of novel nanostructured materials for a wide range of applications, including energy conversion and storage, catalysis, optoelectronics, and biomedical devices.

ALD has been showing a great interest in a wide range of applications such as Integrated Circuits and MEMS, film encapsulation for flexible displays, ALD conformal coating, biocompatible materials or solar cells

All the nanomaterials mentioned here were deposited with atmospheric pressure ALD.

In 2019, 9 key research groups and 4 potential research groups, led by the most talented scientists of the university, have been established. Ever since, the research activities at the university have been rapidly promoted.
