Dr. Ngoc Thanh Duong

Thanh obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at Faculty of Physics, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2014. From 2015 to 2020, he joined research group of prof. Mun Seok Jeong in Department of Energy Science, Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, and completed his Ph.D degree in February, 2020. From March 2020 to 2021, he worked as a Research Assistant Professor in Department of Physics and Semiconductor Science, Dongguk University, Seoul, South Korea. From March to September 2021, he joined Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) research group, Faculty of Material Science and Engineering, Phenikaa University. He is currently a senior postdoctoral researcher at SKKU, South Korea.

Dr. Thuy Duong Ta

Thuy Huong finished her BSc degree in Engineering Physics at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2013. From 2014 – 2015, she joined Kasai Research Group as an exchange student at Osaka University, Japan. Huong obtained her MSc degree in Engineering Physics at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2016. From 2016 to 2020, she was a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Anh Kiet Tieu at School of Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronic, and Biomedical Engineering, University of Wollongong, Australia, and obtained her PhD degree in Materials in 2020. From September 2020 to September 2022, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the ALD research group at Phenikaa University. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bologna, Italy.

Thanh Huong Vu, MSc. 

Thanh Huong Vu, M.S.

Thanh Huong earned her BSc degree with first-class honors in Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University in 2016. After her graduation, she worked for Samsung Display Vietnam for 2.5 years. Then, she relocated to Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, where she studied MSc in Science Engineering and received the degree in August 2021. During her MSc study, she experienced electronic device fabrication and application in memories, transistors, diodes, and photodiodes using 2D-3D materials. From September 2021 to July 2022, she worked as a research assistant in the ALD Research Group at Phenikaa University. She is currently a PhD student at the University of Twente, the Netherlands.

My Hang Tran, MSc.

Hang finished her BSc. and MSc. degrees in Environmental Engineering at University of Science, Vietnam National University in 2018 and 2020, respectively. Her previous research activities were on enhancing photocatalytic activity of different metal oxides including CuWO4, TiO2 for degradation of antibiotics pollutants in aqueous environment or textile wastewater treatment. From March 2021 to August 2023, she worked as a research assistant in the ALD Research Group at Phenikaa University. Her current research focuses on studying Sn- and Cu-based sulfides and oxides by Successive Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction (SILAR) and Spatial Atomic Layer Deposition (SALD) for renewable energy-related applications.

Kieu Diem Nguyen, MSc. Student

Kieu Diem obtained a BSc degree in Physics at Quy Nhon University in 2021. During her undergraduate studies, she worked on "Photocatalytic properties of TiO2 materials modified by SiO2" in the academic year 2018-2019. She won the 1st prize in Experimental Physics in the XXII National Student Physics Olympiad. She is currently pursuing a master degree in Solid State Physics at Quy Nhon University. From November 2021 to August 2022, she joined the ALD research group, working on the development of the gas injection manifold for Spatial Atomic Layer Deposition of transparent conductive oxides.

Khanh Nguyen Tran, BSc. Student

Nguyen was a former student of Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, specialized in Physics. He won a Bronze Medal in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics and the Second Prize in the National Excellent Student Contest on Physics, both in 2019. With these honorable achievements, he obtained a direct enrollment to Phenikaa University, where he is following the Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology program of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering. From November 2021 to August 2022, he joined ALD Research Group, working on programming and developing models for optical analysis of thin films using spectroscopic ellipsometry and reflectometry techniques. He is currently a BSc. student at Eindhoven Univesrsity of Technology (TU/e), the Netherlands.

Hoang Le Nguyen, MSc.

Le completed his BSc. (2011) and MSc. (2014) degrees in Chemistry, with majors in Inorganic Materials at Ha Noi University of Sciences - Vietnam National University. He worked on the synthesis of oxide thin films from sublimated β-diketonates complexes by CVD method for this thesis graduation. From 2015 to 2021, he was a lecturer at the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Toxicology - Hanoi University of Pharmacy. He was pursuing his PhD. degree in the ALD Research Group under the supervision of Dr. Hao Van Bui. His research focused on ALD and MLD of oxides and hybrid compounds for pharmaceuticals.

Quang Van Nguyen, BE.

Quang obtained his BE. degree in Engineering Physics at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He achieved the 3rd prize for student scientific research at Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2022. During his undergraduate study, he worked on Latent fingerprint detection using graphene oxide and microwave absorption of hybridized materials consisting of magnetic oxides (Fe3O4, SrFe12O19, BaFe12O19), nonmagnetic oxide (SiO2), and 2D materials (graphene, graphene oxide, and reduced graphene oxide). From April 2023, he works as a research assistant in the ALD Research Group at Phenikaa University. He is currently a PhD student at SKKU, South Korea.

Duc Anh Duong

Duc Anh was a B.Sc student at Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, Phenikaa University where he is following the Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology program. He started working in the ALD Research Group from May 2022, where he worked on the development of transparent electrodes based on tin and zinc oxides deposited by atmospheric pressure spatial atomic layer deposition (AP-SALD).
